There’s one thing we all know but many people won’t admit: society rewards masculine traits. Traits such as assertiveness, self reliance and competitiveness are all recognized and revered in men. Yet, those same qualities are not celebrated nearly as much in women.
In fact, when a woman is seen as powerful and outspoken, she’s also seen as intimidating, strategic and competitive to a lot of men.Why you ask?
It’s because men are taught to seek power and control. When men feel their power and control are threatened by a woman, they no longer see her as a partner, but a competitor.
Whether we are aware of it or not, misogyny is deeply embedded into the fabric of society itself. There are plenty of men that feel like they are superior to women. Of course they’ll never openly admit this, but their actions speak louder than words.
If this wasn’t true, social media wouldn’t be saturated with women telling stories of men that began to undermine or blatantly destroy their efforts towards success.
Please pay attention because there are plenty of jealous men out here.
Men’s views on women range from feelings of inadequacy to anger. “It feels like women don’t need us anymore.” “Since y’all women are so strong, don’t call the Police when a man hits you.”
Smdh, and they call women emotional.
Many men are simply master manipulators that are good at projecting. I’ve learned two things about men during my research. Many men get most of their needs met through women and men go to great lengths to protect their ego from getting hurt.

Men aren’t dumb. They figured out a long time ago that the one thing they will always have over a woman is physical strength. I truly believe this is where Patriarchy came from.
Since women are physically weaker than men, it’s easier to oppress them by threatening their safety.
Women have been oppressed longer that Blacks have. Let that sink in.
Aside from denying women certain rights, religion was also used to reinforce the programming of girls and women. They were taught and expected to follow the leadership of a man even if it was to their own detriment.
As you can see from the article below, most men don’t believe in the religious doctrine they expect women to follow. Yet they will quote verses incorrectly and purposely use scriptures out of context to fit their narrative.
Try using a scripture on a man about how sex outside of marriage is a sin or how sexual sins are the only ones that are committed against oneself. I promise you will never hear from that man again.

Women are powerful and men know this before most women do.
Did God not give women other abilities besides being housewives, mothers and caregivers?
While it’s true that life literally would not continue without these things, they are constantly taken for granted.
As long as Patriarchy was in full dominance, women were forced to marry for survival. I’m sure you’ve heard a man say, “Where’s her man at?” Whenever a woman speaks out against injustices they face or decides to stay single.
Let’s not forget that women fought for the right to vote and weren’t allowed to have their own credit card until the 1970’s. Money is power.
Since men controlled almost all of the money and resources, many women caught hell. Men could abuse women and children in unthinkable ways without consequences because they were considered property to that man.
“A woman can either be private property to one man or public property to every man.”

Women were denied basic rights so men can stay in control. Yes, the same Patriarchy that so many men benefited from, is the same Patriarchy that has caused a male loneliness epidemic.
It’s the same Patriarchy that forced women to answer with movements like 4c that has now spread worldwide. Millions of women are now opting out of relationships with men all together. It’s becoming more common place for women to remain child free.
I asked a male friend why so many men take advantage of women. His response was calm and cold. “Men can’t empathize with their prey.”
This further showed me that most men either don’t want to change or simply don’t know how. Patriarchy really let men down by not teaching them how to relate to women in a respectful manner.
Men, you can’t expect women to accept the type of treatment you wouldn’t tolerate yourself. If you want respect, you must give respect. It’s that simple.
